Flyto wins Travel Technology Disrupt Award

Flyto will be awarded a full-size stand at the 2018 event worth £8,000 plus marketing support. Flyto successfully applied for the event’s Launchpad, which supported 15 of the most innovative start-ups in the travel technology industry this year – double the size of the area in 2016.

Raphael Babalola, CEO, Flyto, commented: “We were genuinely not expecting to win. It’s huge for us to win, such a massive validation for us at the biggest travel technology event in Europe. We can now go to big travel companies as an award-winner and talk to them about future business.”

Judge Lee Hayhurst, editor, Travolution, added: “Flyto is innovative, disruptive and easy to implement. It’s clear they’ve done a lot of market research and identified a genuine need in the market.”

Flyto’s fellow finalists were Airlines Technology, Ensygnia, Rich Media Exchange and UnitPal – all shortlisted from the event’s 15 Launchpad exhibitors. They were chosen during a three-week online vote, which was open to the public and received over 1,000 nominations. The shortlist then presented to a panel of esteemed judges in a Dragons’ Den style pitch to battle it out for this year’s crown:
